Scholarships are for Healthcare Studies at Texas Universities and Colleges.
Applicants must be a high school senior within Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, or Williamson counties
Applicants are accepted at an accredited college or university in Texas to pursue a degree in a healthcare related discipline. Note: students pursuing veterinary and other non-human healthcare careers will not be considered.
Psychology or social work applications accepted for students planning to work in a medical environment.
Finalists must be able to attend an in-person interview.
Applicants must be a United States Citizen or a legal non-citizen resident.
Applicants must attend an accredited college or university in Texas as a full-time student (12+ units/semester.)
Applicants must pass a background check. There can be no conviction for violating any federal or state laws for alcohol or drugs.
Financial need is considered in the application process. Proof of family income is required.
Use a personal email address.
Some school districts' digital security policy inadvertently blocks incoming emails from stdavidsfoundation.org. To help ensure you receive our updates, reminders - and hopefully, your acceptance letter - be sure to register using a personal email address (such as gmail or iCloud). Please do the same when submitting contact information for the person who will be writing your letter of recommendation.
Fill out all sections and complete your essays.
Only completed applications submitted by the deadline of January 7, 2022 will be considered for review. If any required sections of the application have been skipped over with no response entered, those applications will be marked as
incomplete and will not be reviewed.
Upload ALL required documents
The first phase of the application process will require applicants to upload:
1) Unofficial transcript
2) College transcript, if applicable
3) Student Aid Report (SAR).
If selected as a Semifinalist, applicants will need to upload:
1) Proof of citizenship or legal residency
2) Official Transcript
3) proof of SAT/ACT scores, if disclosed; and
4) 2020 parental Tax Information (2021 w2's and 2021 OR 2020 signed tax returns).

Redact any confidential information
The documents required for upload contain a lot of confidential information including social security numbers and occasionally bank routing information. We ask all applicants to please cross out these numbers from their documents before uploading to their application.
